Rumor has it that my city is suffering from the 'crabs in a barrel' syndrome. No one wants to help the next man or woman get ahead because they're worried they might miss out on being in the top spot. There will always be those people who don't seek out opportunities or create them for themselves. We have some real go- getters in San Diego who don't need anyone to tell them anything. They're out there making a way for themselves and their people and are eating good and then there are those who are waiting for opportunities to fall into their laps and are mad at the next one because they stay in the loop. You can't have or shouldn't have a sense of entitlement if you want to be perceived as someone who is trying to make something happen for your self because guess what? Opportunities will fly right past you and you'll be wondering who, what, when and most importantly why...I want to believe those who are suffering from this syndrome are the minority. Let's keep it that way.
