So one Sunday morning I was invited to a birthday brunch at the Firehouse American Eatery + Lounge. My first thoughts about the Firehouse American Eatery + Lounge was that it is a beautiful location nestled in between a couple of buildings, one being a fire station of course. You can sit out on the upstairs patio with a beautiful view of the beach, the water, the waves rolling in and crashing against the shore. Upstairs they have Cabanas with nice comfy couches that look out over the upper deck with a retractable awning. They also have live music that will definitely have your toes tapping and fingers snapping.
I am loving their menu which has a great variety of American foods with a twist. I decided to try the Devil's Advocate the Benny which was actually a tasty version of Eggs Benedict with maple peppercorn bacon eggs and hollandaise sauce over a split vanilla bean donut with house potatoes. Their portions are a good size as a matter of fact. For example, you could split the brioche cinnamon churro cinnamon toast between two kids for a full-sied meal.
Yes, the restaurant is kid-friendly. The restaurant is also pet-friendly so if you're ever out by the beach, you want to get a nice breakfast, drink mimosas by the shore and then walk along the beach and collect sand dollars or you know just chill with friends or with family The Firehouse American Eatery + Lounge is a great place to go. They also offer valet parking 2 hours free $5 every hour after that. You can't lose. You can get in and enjoy the atmosphere, you know breathing that nice San Diego Ocean air, go out to eat, go outside on the boardwalk, walk it off and drive away without any extra cost or extra dents in your pocket. The prices are moderate and not too expensive so I would go there again as a matter of fact I plan to because there's more things on the menu I want to try so it's inevitable that I do. Let's clink to that.
Have you been to the Firehouse American Eatery + Lounge? What was your experience? Good or bad?
